Season Ticket Holders Enjoy More Rewards than Ever Before

Posted Jan 31, 2013

There’s an undeniable excitement in the air at Chargers Park as the team embarks on a new era in franchise history under the guidance of General Manager Tom Telesco and Head Coach Mike McCoy.

There’s no better way to become part of that excitement than being a season ticket holder. This year’s slate of home games include the Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, Indianapolis Colts, Houston Texans and Cincinnati Bengals as well as the annual matches against their division rival Oakland Raiders, Denver Broncos and Kansas City Chiefs.

“Season ticket holders are a very important part of what we are trying to accomplish,” said McCoy. “We want our team to feed off the energy of the crowd and look forward to building a home field advantage each week at Qualcomm Stadium.”

In addition to saving up to $200 over the single game price, the Chargers are making it even more rewarding than ever before to be a season ticket holder. Over 150 prizes are up for grabs in the team’s annual sweepstakes for those who renew (see below for complete list).

Want to know just how rewarding it can be to renew your season tickets? All you have to do is ask Steven Caves, who won last year’s grand prize, a trip for two to this year’s Super Bowl in New Orleans.

“I’m very excited, this is a once in a lifetime chance for me,” said Caves, who has been a season ticket holder since 1980. “I can’t wait.  I was kind of surprised by the Chargers organization.  They told me I had won something on last year’s sweepstakes, but I didn’t know what it was.  I came into the office, and when I walked in there was a whole slew of people throwing confetti, the Charger Girls were there, they put beads on me and told me I won the grand prize! It was great and I can’t wait for the Super Bowl.”

This year the Chargers are offering more prizes and rewards than ever before.

“We are excited to be providing such an attractive renewal incentive package in addition to the many season long benefits our season ticket holders receive,” said Executive Vice President A.G. Spanos

The sweepstakes, however, is just the tip of the iceberg as there are many other perks and benefits for season ticket holders to enjoy. They include behind the scenes access to the Chargers players and coaching staff at training camp events, team meet and greets, fan forums, pregame field access during the regular season and opportunities to visit Chargers Park or Qualcomm Stadium for exclusive behind-the-scenes tours.

The team will also have a season ticket holder “Wear It to Win It” pin program.  All you have to do is wear your season ticket holder pin to a game to be eligible to win a number of prizes, including pregame field passes, autographed mini helmets, $20 Q-cash and much more.

Finally, all who renew will receive a free Chargers T-Shirt for each seat (up to four for non-club seats) on their account, complimentary Chargers & Rock 105.3 radio for in-game broadcasts, and for club seat holders, one limited edition Antonio Gates souvenir football.
