Tickets may be purchased by logging onto www.CHARGERS.com, calling 1-800-745-3000 or visiting the Chargers Ticket Office located at Gate C at Qualcomm Stadium. The Chargers’ ticket office is open weekdays 8-5 pm and Saturday 10-4 pm.
If the blackout is lifted, the game will be seen in San Diego on KNSD-TV, Channel 7, and in Los Angeles and Orange County on KNBC-TV, Channel 4. Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworthwill call the game from the booth and Michele Tafoya will report from the sidelines.
Several milestones could be set during Sunday night’s game. Tight end
At halftime of Sunday’s game, the Chargers will announce their Community Quarterback of the Year winner and present him or her with a $5,000 check for their program. The Community Quarterback program recognizes outstanding volunteers who exemplify leadership, dedication and a commitment to improving the youth football and cheer experience for youth in their community. The team also will honor all of the High School Coach of the Week winners as well as the Coach of the Year.
In addition, the Toyota End Zone Challenge will take place at halftime. It’s the culmination of an eight-week on-line promotion from which four contestants were chosen randomly to throw footballs from the 10-yard line into the bed of a 2012 Toyota Tacoma parked in the end zone. Each contestant will have 20 seconds to throw as many Nerf footballs as they can. The winner receives a two-year lease on the Tacoma.
