BLOG: Novak Crossing First Pitch Off Bucket List

Posted Sep 2, 2013

Nick Novak will cross off a bucket list item when he throws out the first pitch prior to Tuesday night's San Diego Padres game.

Nick Novak is used to making an impact with his foot.

Tuesday night, he’ll be making one with his arm.

The Chargers kicker will be throwing out the first pitch before the San Diego Padres game at Petco Park.

Here is what Novak had to say about it:

“This has always been one of the things on my bucket list that I’ve always wanted to do.  What better opportunity is there than to do it for my hometown team?  I used to watch games at Jack Murphy, now Qualcomm, and I can’t believe I’m in a position to do this.  So thank you to the San Diego Padres for allowing me to throw out the first pitch.  It’s an honor to represent the Chargers.
