Bolts Add to Practice Squad

The San Diego Chargers practice squad has begun to take shape.


UPDATE (5:08) - Chargers sign Brandon Moore to the practice squad, filling the eighth available spot.

The San Diego Chargers filled seven of their eight available practice squad spots by signing four players on Monday.

They include:

Jake Byrne, TE, Wisconsin  - The 6-4, 258-pound tight end out of Wisconsin appeared in four games and made one start this preseason with the Houston Texans. He finished the exhibition season with two catches for 19 yards. In 2012, he spent training camp with the New Orleans Saints before joining the Texans practice squad for the postseason.

Toney Clemons, WR, Colorado – A 6-2,210-pound wideout, Clemons appeared in four games last season for the Jacksonville Jaguars, recording three catches for 41 yards.  This preseason he appeared in three games and made two receptions for 13 yards.

Will Pericak, DE, Colorado – The 6-3, 300-pound defensive end out of Colorado signed with the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent in May.  He appeared in three games for them this preseason, registering one tackle.

Kenny Wiggins, T, Fresno State – A 6-6, 314-pounder out of Fresno State, the tackle appeared in all four games for the San Francisco 49ers this preseason.

The four players join tackle Nick Becton, cornerback Marcus Cromartie and linebacker Thomas Keiser on the practice squad.

One open spot on the eight-man roster still remains.
