Charger Girls: Look back at the 2012 squad - Part 2

Posted Jul 11, 2013

With a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the 2013 Charger Girls calendar coming soon, let's first look back to last year's shoot from the beaches of Southern California.

We continue documenting the Charger Girls audition process with a look at the dance finals.

All 66 finalists gathered at the Omni Hotel in Downtown San Diego to leave a last impression on the judges. Each finalist was asked to dance in a group of three as well as perform solo, original choreography, which included jumping and tumbling.

“Tonight is all about is she Charger Girls material,” Director of the San Diego Charger Girls Lisa Simmons said.

After the dancing is complete, the judges deliberate before choosing who will be the 28 official Charger Girls.

For those 28 who make the final cut, it is a lifelong dream becoming a reality of being an NFL cheerleader.

Tune in tomorrow as we continue the series with a more in depth look at who was last season’s squad.
