Charger Girls: Look back at the 2012 squad - Part 3

Posted Jul 11, 2013

With a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the 2013 Charger Girls calendar coming soon, let's first look back to last year's shoot from the beaches of Southern California.

Now that the audition process is over, it is time to get to know the 28 wonderful ladies who served as Charger Girls during the 2012 season.

“It’s an incredible group of women this year,” Director of the Charger Girls Lisa Simmons said. “Really accomplished women who have a passion for performance and giving to their community.”

A majority of Charger Girls hold the position for 3-4 years, which is evident by the 15 veterans returning.

Many of the girls return because they feel the Charger Girls help them develop into confident, career-oriented women.

“Our personal goals for the ladies this year is to give them an opportunity to platform through this program, to discover their potential,” Simmons said.

Many of these accomplished women hold bachelor’s degrees or master’s degrees and have moved on to a career in their profession.

Stay tuned for Part 4 of this series showcasing the Charger Girls calendar shoot.

Now, you can stay in touch with the team anytime, anywhere, on your mobile device with the official app of the San Diego Chargers.
