Like the rest of the country, the Chargers will spend the rest of Thursday following practice celebrating Thanksgiving. Here is what some of the players are thankful for this year.
“My family and my friends. Being able to be blessed to play in this league, and the little things like that. Everything is going to come back around and we’ll keep working. But like I said, I’m just thankful for my family and friends and to have a job to support myself.”
“I’m thankful for being a Charger again. Obviously, I want to be back on the field helping this team out, but I’m just thankful for being here.”
“I’m thankful for Christ, family, life, wellness and health.”
“Everything in my life and every day I get to spend with my kids and my wife.
“I’m thankful for my five month old daughter. It’s awesome. And I’m thankful to be here in San Diego.”
“Family. Being 3,000 miles away from home, it makes you thankful for family.”
“I’m thankful for my family and my 11 month old son. I have a great wife who supports me and I’m thankful to be a part of the Chargers and their great organization the last nine years.”
“Everything. My family. My wife and kids. The Chargers. Being able to play this great game of football and support my family. And the armed forced. I can go on and on.”
Ryan Wide Receiver
“My family. They are big for me. They’ve always been there supporting me. And I’m thankful to be a Charger. It’s a great organization and I’m having a great experience. I’m looking forward to having a lot of great years here.”
Fullback Le’Ron McClain
“My family and the guys around this locker room.
“Just life. Being able to be here. This is a blessing. There are a lot of people that don’t make it this far. I’m having a tough time with my ankle, but there is so much more beyond an injury. So I’m thankful for life in general.”
“I’m just thankful to be able to wake up every morning and get to do what I was called to do.”
“I’m thankful to be alive. To be here.”
“My family. And being here in San Diego. That’s what I’m thankful for.”
