So Thursday was my first NFL game and that felt good. I worked so hard my entire life so I feel like I earned and deserved it. Right before I ran out of the tunnel I had a lot of emotions. I was excited mainly though. I ran over to the end zone by myself and said a prayer and thought of my dad and my grandma. They died back a long time ago when I was a kid, and I was thinking how I wished that they could have seen me.
Overall I think I did OK. There were a lot of good things I did but I know I have a lot to get better on. That’s why it felt good to be back on the practice field today. I was able to work on the details I need to get better on and work on my conditioning. I want to be technically sound. Coach Graves is really helping me with that. He’s very detail oriented and wants us to do everything right. He’s a perfectionist like me so that’s why I like him.
Outside the game I have a great bunch of teammates. From the top to the bottom I’ve gotten to know a lot of them really well. We’re a team and we’re in it together. We’re pushing each other. From rookies to the oldest vets we’re a team and we’re looking to get better.
So that’s it for now. I want to thank all the fans out there for the support. You’re our support system day in and day out. Without you there is no San Diego Chargers, so we do it for you.
