Melvin Ingram Blog: "It's a Big Game Coming Up"

Posted Jan 8, 2014

This week's player blog comes courtesy of Melvin Ingram.

Beating the Bengals and now getting to play the Broncos, these playoffs are a blessing.   This is a great opportunity to be in this position.  We’re just trying to make the most of it.

Another blessing was being able to make an interception last week.  Again, I’m just thankful for the opportunity.  It’s all just hard work, studying film and playing assignment football.  That is what has us in this situation.   As great as winning on Sunday was, we turned our attention to the Broncos very quickly.  It’s a big game coming up and it’s win or go home, so you can’t afford to stay on the first game too long.

I’m also blessed to have the teammates I have such as guys like Donald Butler.  They’ve taught me how to be a pro, how to go about practice and how to be a dog out there.  You’ve got to be bold and go hard, and they’ve helped teach me that.

People ask about my health, and I feel great.  It was a long road back but there was never a doubt I’d work my way back this season.  I feel really good right now.  My legs feel good and my body feels  good.  I can’t wait to get back out there again on Sunday.

I also want to thank all the fans. Coming back Sunday night was awesome.  Words can’t even explain it.  I was always taught that there is no team without fans, and when you support us like that, there are no words to describe it.  I hope to see a lot of you cheering us on in Denver.  So continue to support us because without  all of you, there is no us.

Supa Melvin
