An All-Rookie selection last year by Pro Football Weekly and the Professional Football Writers Association, the 6-foot-5, 325-pound Vasquez is expected to play even better this season.
Vasquez is one of a handful of Mexican-American players in the NFL. He also claims Aztec Indian heritage on both sides of his family.
He's a rarity in that his father stands 5-foot-5 and his mother 5-foot-3. His family also has a rich boxing background.
