Nick Becton’s rookie season could be described as a redshirt year with the Chargers in 2013. The undrafted free agent from Virginia Tech split time between the team’s practice squad and active roster. He made his NFL debut in the Bolts’ fifth game of the season in Oakland.

TRANSACTION HISTORY: Signed with Chargers May 13. Signed to the Chargers practice squad on Nov. 18, 2013.

COLLEGE: First-Team VaSID University Division All-State as senior after starting all 13 games at left tackle...played in 45 career games...redshirted in 2008...played at Virginia Tech from 2009-12...degree in apparel, housing and resource management (residential property management).

PERSONAL: Born in Fayetteville, N.C....Associated Press first-team all-state at New Hanover High School in Wilmington, N.C.
